Alfa Group Buys More in VimpelCom
Alfa Group’s subsidiary Altimo buys out from Deutsche Bank AG another 0.1 percent of voting stocks in VimpelCom for $18.047 million, according to Prime-TASS.
Alfa Group’s Altimo reached an agreement March 9 to buy out from Deutsche Bank 51,475 common stocks of VimpelCom AG for $18.047 million. The deal will be completed on March 14 and, as a result of it, Altimo’s ownership in VimpelCom will widen by 0.1 percent of voting stocks.

On March 9, Altimo extended its stake in VimpelCom to 37.4 percent of voting stocks under the swap-deal made with Jam Holding Asset Management Limited in August 2006. Moreover, Altimo clinched the deals to additionally buy out from Deutsche Bank 2.1 percent of common stocks of VimpelCom.

Once all deals with Deutsche Bank AG are finalized on March 14, Altimo will own 39.6 percent of VimpelCom voting stocks.
