Russia’s Interior Ministry is probing into PwC for tax evasion worth 243 million rubles, RIA Novosti reported.
Russia’s Interior Ministry is investigating the tax evasion case of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The amount of back taxes exceeds 243 million rubles, the ministry’s investigating committee specified.

PwC was the Yukos auditor in 2002 to 2004, and its top managers are suspected of tax evasion, representatives of Interior Ministry explained. Enforcement officers searched the Moscow headquarters of PwC today, gazeta.ru reported.

Founded in 1998, PwC has offices in 144 countries of the world. Together with Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG, PwC forms the quartet of audit blockbusters.
