Berezovsky to Give Boost to Brazil
Boris Berezovsky intends to invest roughly $1 billion in economy of Brazil, Echo Moskva announced Thursday.
”I think Brazil a powerful and booming market. The political situation is very stable in Brazil. In addition, there are large numbers of professional people in various fields,” Berezovsky explained. The billionaire said that, on Wednesday, he met “high-rank official of Brazilian government” in London, who “formally offered him to invest in several projects.”

Berezovsky is Russian fugitive billionaire, who was granted political asylum in Britain. He said he sees no obstacles for cooperating with Brazil. “As far as I know, there are no extradition treaties with Brazil,” Berezovsky said referring to the action initiated against him in Russia.

Berezovsky said he doesn’t know yet where he will invest, as he has to visit Brazil once again and familiarize himself with the industries that are attractive to him. With grand chances provided, he won’t confine to $1 billion, the billionaire promised.

Berezovsky met with the chief of Export and Investment Agency of Brazil’s Development, Industry, & Trade Ministry, RIA Novosti reported earlier referring to O Estado di Sao Paulo. The matter at stake is potential funding to be provided by Media Sports Investment for projects of gas pipeline and port construction and for the ethanol production projects.
