Jordanians Tell of Bush Death Plot
Jordanian authorities have released details of an assassination plot against U.S. President George W. Bush uncovered by them last year, according to the Jerusalem Post. During the trial of three militants apprehended on the day before Bush's visit to Jordan, the prosecutor recounted that the defendants planned to kill Bush and bomb the Danish and American embassies.
The prosecutor stated that police found homemade explosives and plastic bottles filed with gasoline when the suspects were arrested in their home. No other details of the conspiracy are known yet. If the suspects are found guilty, they face the death penalty.
