Kadyrov Vows to Construct Refinery in Chechnya
A refinery capable of processing up to 5 million tons of oil product on year will soon emerge in Chechnya, Chechnya’s President Ramzan Kadyrov told the reporters today.
Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya Hussein Jabrailov has elaborated draft concept for industrial policy of Chechnya from 2007 to 2015. It will be one of components for social and economic advance of the republic in the nearest years, Kadyrov said, according to ITAR-TASS.

“Attracting investments to the republic calls for creating conditions,” Kadyrov emphasized, promising no problems when funding small and medium businesses. An area of 400 hectares will be allocated close to the Grozny airport to construct office and business centers, a hotel and a railway branch. This area will be very advantageous for innovation enterprises and large numbers are willing to get there, Kadyrov said.

“First of all, we are to secure the safety, as we have institutes and procedures to deal with it already. It is necessary to put in order relations with Rosneft. And authorities of the republic are working at it now. I hope we will reach agreement and soon cooperate under the mutually beneficial terms,” Kadyrov specified.
