European Commission Didn’t Blacklist Russia’s Airlines
The European Commission didn’t blacklist nine airlines of Russia, as their single and charter flights to Europe were banned by the February 12 ruling of Russia’s air watchdogs, Rostransnadzor and Rosaviatsia, the European Commission said in the news release dedicated to the black list revision.
Rostransnadzor and Rosaviatsia banned Europe’s flights of Aero Rent, Tatarstan, Atlant-Soyuz, Aviacon Zitotrans, Center Avia, Gazpromavia, Lukoil, Russkoe Nebo (Russian Sky) and UTair following notification of the Transport Directorate of the European Commission delivered by results of the checks held from 2004 to 2006.
The demand of Europe for the above airlines is to make their aircraft up to the standards and eliminate multiple violations of flight safety regulations. The violators, however, may fly to Europe but only on extraordinary occasions and under the strict control.
