Hillary Clinton Yields to Barack Obama
For Senator Hillary Clinton, it isn’t very easy to withstand the pressure of Barack Obama in the race for presidential candidate nomination from Democrats. Her popularity shed from nearly 40 percent to 36 percent, while Barack Obama enjoys the support of 24 percent of the party members vs. 21 percent in January, France Press reported.
As to the Republicans, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the obvious frontrunner. His score reached 44 percent, 10 percent above the January result. Giuliani’s chief rival, Senator John McCain lost 6 percent to 21 percent at the same time.
The ranking of Democrat John Edwards stood still at 12 percent, while the sore of Republican Newt Gingrich grew from 9 percent to 15 percent.
The poll was held February 22 to 25 amid 1,082 residents of the United States. The party primaries are scheduled for early 2008, and candidates launched their election campaigns in February. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have generated over $1,000,000 each ever since.
