Bayer Schering Pharma AG Starts Up in Russia
The united pharmaceutical corporation, Bayer Schering Pharma AG, has announced the launch of its Russia’s business, the PRIME-TASS news agency reported.
Bayer Schering Pharma AG emerged once Leverkusen-incorporated Bayer AG took over Berlin-incorporated Schering AG. The agreement on transferring control over Schering AG to Bayer AG was registered October 27, 2006. Nowadays, the businesses of two companies are being integrated in more than 100 states worldwide.
In Russia, the pharmaceutical giant will be represented by Schering Co., which General Director Manfred Paul was approved to take over the Russia’s office of Bayer Schering Pharma AG.
The aim of the friendly takeover is expanding on profile markets and promoting the medicine markets in general. The consolidation of product portfolio and advanced research of Bayer AG and Schering AG is expected to set the company into speedy and efficient motion.
The analysts of Bayer Schering Pharma AG hope the consolidation will advance them to the league of ten foreign leaders in terms of the medicine sales in Russia. Bayer was only the 30th and Schering AG was the 12th by results of 2006.
