Russia Won’t Return to Arms Race, Defense Minister Vowed
Russia has no intention to get back to the arms race, Vice Prime Minister, Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov said at the news conference in Seville February 9.
Russia’s response to the plans of deploying the U.S. missile defense sites in Europe will be asymmetric and far from expensive, ITAR-TASS reported. “If anyone wants to bring us back to the arms race, we are not intending to return to it,” the minister said.

The medium-range missiles of Iran can reach the territory of both Israel and Russia, Ivanov specified. “Nowadays, there is no way to destroy middle-range missiles and an intercontinental ballistic missile without affecting those living on the Earth,” Russia’s minister said.
