A Bomb Detonates in Downtown London
A bomb has detonated in one of the offices in downtown London, slightly wounding a woman. It was received by mail in a package, Sky News reported.
The explosion occurred in one of the offices close to Scotland Yard and government premises. The place is cordoned by the police now with investigators and mine pickers working there.
London was rocked by the deadliest string of explosions on July 7, 2005; the death toll reached 56 that time.
Later on, the Britain’s investigators managed to foil a few more plots, preventing, amid other things, the explosion orchestrated to happen on board of a plane flying from Britain to the United States. The criminals planed to hide the bomb in the hand baggage, the investigators found out afterwards.
After it, Britain’s investigators searched at large, seizing roughly 8,000 various data carriers and a few kilograms of explosives.
